On May 24, 2024, we had to say, “We’ll see you soon!” to our beloved pastor, Shane Meshaya. It wasn’t goodbye, because we know that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. We rejoice in knowing that Bro. Shane has received his fully restored heavenly body. We know he’s without pain and he wouldn’t come back even if he could. That’s alright, because we wouldn’t ask him to.
In II Timothy 4:7-8, Paul tells us, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.” If there’s one thing we know for certain, Bro. Shane fought the good fight, finished his race, and never lost faith! Although our time together on this earth is far too short, we’ll have an eternity together soon enough, but we’ve got to finish our race and always, always keep the faith!
